WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SPIRIT AND SOUL?

What is the difference between "Spirit" and "Soul?" 

Is there any different meaning between Spirit and Soul? Yes.

In Hebrew language Bible used different words
for Spirit (Ruach) and for Soul (Nephesh).. 
In English and Malayalam same meaning for Spirit (ആത്മാവ് ) and for Soul (ദേഹി).

People believes that soul never die and continue living after man's death.

What is a Soul? 

Genesis 2:7 states man is a Soul. 


              Man, birds, and fishes are souls

And Genesis 1:25 says about other creatures like Bird is a Soul, Animal is a Soul, and Fish is a Soul. 


                         Animals are Souls

These are earthly creatures, breathing through nostrils and sustains its life. Soul has some characteristics and identified with eating , drinking, sleeping, playing, born and dying. 

Man is not a hybrid, with spiritual and physical combination. Only earthy or dust. The whole man is called a "soul". 

So man is mortal, can be possible to die. soul is also mortal. Ezekiel 18:4 Soul will die.
 Bible never says of an immortal soul. 

Then what is spirit?

The root meaning in Hebrew "Ruach" and in Greek "Pneuma" is an invisible power not an invisible person.

Spirit is "life force" which operated in body by breath. But in death, breath ends and lost life force. So Spirit is not an invisible person active after death of soul or man. Man's spirit can do nothing itself. 

Eccl. 3:19-21 says that after man's death, spirit ( life force) lost, same possibility for man and animals. Where do the spirit gone no one knows. 

But Jesus says in Mathew 16:26 "if your spirit die or ruin" what should you do?

Ecclesiastes 12:7 states that man's spirit return to God after death. That means Future life depending on God. Because God is source of life. He can give those dead life again through a resurrection.

But, no mention of birds, animals, fishes spirit return to god. Why? They have no resurrection hope. Only man has special privilege of resurrection living again in a paradise earth. 

Because they are inferior to man and a lowest condition of life. God made man superior to animals bestowed with intellectual capacity to worship God.

Therefore, Man is a Soul and his life force is called Spirit. Spirit is not a separate person.

ആനയ്ക്ക് ആൾ വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. കേരളത്തിൽ നാട്ടുരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ ഭരണകാലത്തു നടന്ന ഒരു ചതുരംഗ കളിയെക്കുറിച്ചാണ് ഇന്നത്തെ ബ്ലോഗ് എഴുതുന്നത്. രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ പ്രധാന ഹോബി ആയി രുന്നു ചതുരംഗകളി. ചിലർ അതി സമർഥന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു. ആരോഗ്യപരിപാലനം: എങ്ങനെ  "പല്ലിന്റെ ബലം"  വർധിപ്പിക്കാം? ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഒരിക്കലെങ്കിലും പല്ലുവേദന വരാത്ത ആരും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കില്ല. നമുക്ക് എങ്ങനെ  നമ്മുടെ പല്ലുകളെ ബലമുള്ള താക്കി മാറ്റാം? ഞാൻ ഒരു ദന്ത ഡോക്ടർ അല്ല. പക്ഷെ, ഡോക്ടർക്കും പല്ലുവേദന വരും, പല്ല് പറിച്ചുകളയേണ്ടിയും വരാം   ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഒരു അനുഭവം പറയാം. രണ്ട്  വർഷം  മുൻപാണ്.   പല്ലുവേദന അസഹ്യമായിരുന്നു.  ഒരു ദന്ത ഡോക്ടറെ കാണാൻ  തീരുമാനിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു:  "മുഴുവൻ plaque ആണ്. ഇടയ്ക്കിടെ പല്ല് ക്ളീൻ ചെയ്യണം. root canal  സർജറി വേണ്ടി വരും." വേദനക്കുള്ള ഗുളിക വാങ്ങി കഴിച്ചു. പല്ല് ശുദ്ധിയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. എന്റെ വേദന മാറുകയും ചെയ്തു. നമ്മുടെ തിരക്കുള്ള ജീവിതത്തിൽ പല്ലിന്റെ  ശുദ്ധി കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്  ഒരു സമയം കൊല്ലി ഏർപ്പാടായിട്ടാണ് നമ്മിൽ പലരും   വീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത് .  എന്നാൽ അതിനെ അങ്ങിനെയല്ല കാണേണ്ടത്. നല്ല ആരോഗ്യത്തിനും സുഖത്തിനും പല്ലിന്റെ ആരോഗ്യം വളരെ പ്രധാനമാണ്. നല്ല ആരോഗ്യത്തിന്  ശുദ്ധി അത്യന്താപേ ക്ഷിതമാണ്.  പല്ലുവേദന വരുമ്പോഴും രോഗം വ...
